Our spacious apartment is located just off the Devonshire Quarter of Sheffield City Centre. Its is nestled between West Street to the North and Division Street to the south.  The apartment is Royal Plaza,2 Westfield Terrace, Sheffield S1 4GG.  Access codes for the keys will be provided on the day of Check-In

There is plenty of local transport, into and around Sheffield.  The main busstation and train station are 15 – 20 minutes walk to/from your accommodation.

If you prefer to take public transport from the rail stations, there are two options both taking around 10 minutes from Sheffield Station to your destination.

  • By Bus from the main bus station on Pond Street. Take any bus going to West Street/Carver Street (Stop Ref: CH3)
  • By tram from the Sheffield tram stop, take the BLUE line towards Malin Bridge and exit at the West Street Stop by the Tesco Store.
 
If you are driving the Sheffield there is no private car parking facilities with the apartment, although our parking section provides useful information for those needing parking.
 
Please note there is a Clean Air Zone in the city.  Private Cars and motorbikes are not normally charged, but do check on the clean air zone site to check if payment is required, or to pay for your vehicle if it is chargeable.

LOCAL AREA

Sheffield, also known as the “Steel City” is a vibrant and culturally rich city located in South Yorkshire. From its industrial heritage to its stunning green spaces, Sheffield offers a variety of attractions and activities. Here’s a some of the sights and things to do in the local area to help you explore the city: 

Dining & Nightlife:  If its nightlife, restaurants, and bars you are looking for, Westfield Terrace is in the heart of Sheffield’s nightlife scene. West Street and Division Street both offer many choices for dining and drinking out. 

If you are looking for shopping, the apartment is close to the city centre shops in and around The Moor, Orchard Square, Barkers Pool and Fargate. Outside of town a short drive, tram, train or bus away is Meadowhall. 

If you are coming to Sheffield for its sport, the birthplace of modern football is certainly a great choice. Famous for the world’s oldest football club and boosting two major teams (Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United).

Sheffield United, est 1889, holds the title of the Oldest Professional Football Ground in the World and was the first ground ever to play a floodlit match. 

We also of course have major swimming, ice, the English Institute of Sport and in April/May Sheffield’s Crucible theatre is famed for hosting the World Snooker Championships. 

Activities and Experiences:  From Escape Rooms to Gin Tasting and Self-Guided Ghost walks there is plenty to do if it’s activities you are looking for. 

For indoor crazy golf with a difference, we can highly recommend Golf Fang, with 18 holes of pure entertainment in an environment surrounded by bespoke art and an amazing atmosphere, you’ll love the waitress served cocktails served straight to your tee!


For a cultural visit, Sheffield has diverse range of Museums & cultural spaces.

  • Contemporary at the Millennium Art Gallery
  • Industrial history of Sheffield at Pelham Island Museum
  • Archaeology exhibitions at Weston Park Museum
  • Tranquility at the Peace Gardens, an urban oasis with fountains and sculptures.
  • If you are a lover of plants, Sheffield Botanical gardens with its Victorian layout and orchid collection is well worth a visit.
  • The National Emergency Services Museum with its exhibits on the three main emergency services of the UK
  • Visit the Crucible Theatre for more than Snooker, which has regular plays and performances
  • or simply take a stroll to Sheffield Cathedral, the city’s oldest building!

 

These are just a few highlights of what Sheffield has to offer. Whether you’re interested in history, nature, art, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the city, Sheffield has something for everyone, but let’s not forget the amazing places Sheffield has on its doorstep!

Within an hours drive of Sheffield is the amazing Peak Districta national park shared by the three counties of Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.  If you are here for more than just a couple of days, there are plenty of trains from Sheffield to many areas of the Peaks, or maybe treat yourself to a day’s car hire and go exploring the breath-taking countryside, huddled right next to the industrial heritage of Sheffield.
